Dernière version VideoCompressor
VideoCompressor is a simple yet efficient app, which can shrink the size of your video files, so you may fit them onto various types of removable media, such as USB flash drives or optical media.
Key Features include:
- Simple, compact user interface.
- Fast compression.
- Support various formats, including FLV, WMV, SWF, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, M4V, AVI, MKV, MOV, F4V, and RM.
- Drag and Drop support.
VideoCompressor’s interface is very easy to navigate, and has clearly been designed for the novice user as the lack of customizable options shows. The main window has a standard layout, with options to load your video files either by drag and drop, or with the file browser. There is a built-in video player, which has a standard array of functions; 'Play', 'Pause', 'Stop', 'Forward' and ‘Rewind’ which allows you to check out your video files to make sure they are correct, before you compress them.
Next up, you need to configure the compression level. this is done with a simple slider tool that allows you to select the degree to which the file should be reduced in size. When altered, it gives you an estimate of the ‘Target Size' of the processed item. Finally, you hit the 'Compress' button to begin analyzing the file and start the process. When it has completed the operation, a popup window lets you retrieve the video and copy it/move it to whatever supported media you need to.
Overall, VideoCompressor is simple, basic video compression app that has a very limited functionality. It you just need to compress the size of your video media, and only have a few files that need compressing, then this app is ok. However, if you need to convert numerous files, then this isn’t for you. VideoCompressor does not support a batch mode, nor is there any room for customization either.
