oCam is an impressive little app that can capture and record onscreen images, video and audio. It supports various video codecs and audio recording, it is very easy to use and it has a stack of options to choose from.
Getting to grips with oCam is a straightforward affair, with hardly any learning curve. The user interface is split into two parts that consist of a main screen and a green bordered capture area, which you can can drag and manoeuvre to resize and place over the area of the screen that you wish to record.

In addition, it is possible to choose video codecs for your recordings directly from the primary panel, as the app lists the ones that are currently installed on your computer. You can also configure video recording parameters by specifying the FPS and bitrate, and you have the option to include the cursor and or mouse pointer in any video recording.
Overall, oCam provides good image and video quality, while being lightweight and having small footprint. It has a user friendly interface that is easy to get to grips with and some handy recording options.
